With Memorial Day just a week away, I thought it would be fun to post a few vegetarian grilling ideas. I haven’t started grilling yet, but I can’t wait to spend some time outside grilling some veggies!
While the typical cookout involves hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and fish, there’s many other delicious options that don’t involve meat.
My absolute favorite thing to grill is corn on the cob—cooking it in its husk with some butter, salt and pepper is the perfect summer treat. Here’s a few other foods you could try try grilling with friends and family:
- veggie burgers
- marinated portabella caps
- kabobs (recipe for image shown above)
- Extra firm tofu
I like to season vegetables with olive oil, salt and pepper. Everything grilled seems to taste great, even if it doesn’t have a lot of seasoning. There’s also marinades or sauces you can make—improvising is always fun too!
